Ramadan is a festival month associated with happiness and fulfillment. Not for Rohingya Refugees. With survival being the only priority after witnessing extreme violence and injustice, they cannot imagine festivities being a part of their lives again.
Since 2018, our Ramadan project has helped provide Ramadan food baskets to the impoverished Bangladeshi locals and Rohingya Refugees.
The food basket consists of fresh and nutritious Iftar meals prepared from scratch including juice, dates, salads, a main course, bread, pastries, and fruits.
The meals are received with a smile and prayers for everyone who made it possible.
Each family was given $130 basic provisions that lasted the month of Ramadan.
