Ustadha Sophia Khan

Girls Youth Advisor
Ustadha Sophia is a well-known leader amongst the youth/young adults in the DFW Muslim community.

She was born and raised in the U.S. and then moved to Dubai, U.A.E. – where she lived there for fifteen years. She studied Islamic Shari’ah Law in Arabic as her major at the University of Sharjah, U.A.E., and is also currently completing a degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health as well.

She moved back to America four years ago with her husband and two daughters and has been serving the DFW Muslim Youth community since.

Amongst the youth, Ustadha Sophia is known to be very approachable, relatable, and understanding towards their struggles without any judgment and she provides Islamic guidance based on the issues and problems that the youth face on a daily basis.

Ustadha Sophia is very excited to be joining the ICF team and working alongside the religious leadership and board to help create programs specifically for the youth girls in the community and to be able to continue her passion towards guiding them in trying to connect more with their faith and identity – all based on her Islamic academic background and the knowledge she has gained over the years as well as her experience of mentoring the youth for over fourteen years.
