Our vocational program has opened doors
for the Rohingya refugee

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “And I advise you to treat women kindly, for they are created from a rib and the most crooked portion of the rib is its upper part; if you try to straighten it, it will break, and if you leave it, it will remain crooked, so I urge you to treat women kindly.” (Bukhari,114)

Empowering Women

Our vocational program has opened doors for Rohingya refugees and other needy women to become self-sufficient. These women, often facing limited opportunities to earn income and discrimination in the workforce, are crucial contributors as many of them are the heads of households and suffer from financial constraints.

BASMAH’s skill training program empowers these poor women, providing training in sewing machine operation and distributing machines for free. This equips them with the skills needed to establish small businesses within their households.

Our training centers are located in Cox’s Bazar, Mymensingh, and Narayanganj districts, with plans to gradually open centers across Bangladesh. After completing the program, many women are now earning income by manufacturing school uniforms for students in BASMAH learning programs, enabling them to support their families.

Your generous support can change the life of a poor woman.
